For you and your fellow road users’ safety, we have set a completely new crash standard. We have tested our roof box at a speed of 50 km/h at a crash pulse in accordance with the ECE R17 standard. The test showed that the roof box can withstand a force of up to 26g.

Robust
Carrier has double-sided shells for increased stability. You feel it both in the handling itself and while you are driving. It feels right through that it is a premium roof box.
Lockable
Carrier is of course lockable so you know the luggage is in safe custody when you need to take a break on your journey or leave the roof box loaded overnight. The locks are equipped with rubber protection to avoid dirt, moisture and ice formation.
Load loops
Carrier is equipped with strong load loops for maximum securing of the load. These are part of our crash safety system that sits in our roof boxes and which we call TEAS, The Energy Absorbing System.
Interior lighting
Carrier helps you with lighting when packing in the dark with the help of a sensor-activated light that lights up when you open the roof box. As convenient as possible!

Quick Fastening
The Carrier is fastened securely and quickly to the roof rack with the help of its Quick Grip claws. When you hear a “click” from the screw wheel during installation, you know that Quick Grip has done its job and that the roof box is in place as it should be.
Crash tested at 26g
Carrier remains safely on the roof without injuring others – even at higher crash speeds. It is crash tested with a crash violence no other roof box on the market has passed. The Carrier roof box can withstand a frontal collision with a load of 75 kg at 50 km/h with an acceleration force of a whopping 26 g.
Openable from both sides
You can open the carrier from both sides. Therefore, you can always avoid the busy side when packing or unpacking your roof box. All for your own safety.

Carrier has undergone extensive testing. Everything from heavy rain and tough wind conditions to extreme heat and cold tests. You should feel confident that you have bought a premium class roof box.
